What The Font!?

What The Font!?

December 11th, 2008

I came across this website some time ago but soon forgot about it until the other day when I was trying to figure out the name of a font from a logo a client gave me. I quick scan of the image and I was able to get access to a list of similar fonts. I was even able to then search online and find that very font for free download! Much time saved.

Dropbox

Dropbox

November 10th, 2008

After a week and a half of using DropBox I can easily say it is the best free application and most useful I have downloaded this year. Syncing files from one computer to another, sharing files and updating parts of files works seemlessly and on a mac it makes the use of Growl to show latest updates and changes.

Google Turns Out The Lights

Google Turns Out The Lights

March 29th, 2008

Google has turned the lights out on its home page today on both google.com and google.co.uk as part of their support to raise awareness of a worldwide energy conservation effort called Earth Hour. Although nowadays visual displays use the same amount of energy displaying a black screen as a white one the contrast to the normal white page of Google should raise awareness of the effort to try to reduce our carbon footprint.

From Google:

On Saturday, March 29, 2008, Earth Hour invites people around the world to turn off their lights for one hour - from 8:00pm to 9:00pm in their local time zone. On this day, cities around the world, including Copenhagen, Chicago, Melbourne, Dubai, and Tel Aviv, will hold events to acknowledge their commitment to energy conservation.

Zombies invade Apple store!

May 27th, 2007

So here is my heaven! Macs and zombies! The Westfield Mall and Disney security in San Francisco tried to bar the zombies from entering, but Apple store security did not. In fact, salespeople were jostling one another for a position where they could take the best photo of the zombies (or themselves with the zombies, or their brains being eaten by the zombies).
