It’s now 18 months since I got my iPhone and my contract has ran out. Fortunately I realised a few days after my contract was expired that my phone was still working. I thought, no problem, maybe they have just put me on a month by month rolling contract until I change it. Nope!

So I follow the crowd once again and sign up for yet another social networking site. This one is actually pretty neat though. iStalkr lets you plug in all of your feeds to sites like Flicker, Del.icio.us, Last.fm, Twitter and any other blogs or podcast rss feeds you like. After waiting for around an hour and a half in the freezing cold we were lucky enough to meet Simon Pegg and Nick Frost of Spaced, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz among others!! Although we were rushed away from them pretty quick (there were hundreds of people waiting!) I managed to get an autograph from them and a few pictures which you can see on my flickr page.
I”m hooked on “Web 2.0″ design at the moment. I just love the nice big graphics, bold colours and of course the beta signs everywhere! I found a site which lists a number of nice web 2.0 style logos and web design from scratch also has a great article on current web 2.0 design trends. Well worth a look!’
I was feeling a little pro-active today. I”m getting along with my monster thesis - current word count is approaching 40,000 words and still a few more things to add. I”ve got my project just about at the testing stage so if anyone wants to help out with testing it give me a shout. A free online store with content management system included could be yours in return! I also decided to start reading up on Ruby on Rails after hearing so much good things said about it. So far it looks pretty interesting. I”ll keep this updated with what I”m up to with it but I”m already starting to build a simple online store application so it looks pretty good.’
I finally did it! I have joined the l33t group of uber geeks and got myself a blog! Not only that but I made it all myself from scratch, I must be bored! Another breakthrough happened this week. I got an iPod!! I took my time (planned it for about 2 years) and now i finally got a new shiny black iPod. Nice for when you have those 10 minute journeys on the train to Paisley when you really dont dare look at the ned sitting opposite you. Just got to make sure I don”t get too involved and miss my stop!’
