It’s now 18 months since I got my iPhone and my contract has ran out. Fortunately I realised a few days after my contract was expired that my phone was still working. I thought, no problem, maybe they have just put me on a month by month rolling contract until I change it. Nope!

WiFi internet access points in Glasgow, Scotland

For the past month I have been without internet access at home. Thankfully the period is coming to an end soon and I”ll be back online but being without the internet at home has made me discover how well connected Glasgow is with internet access points. I have been using wifi hotspots for connecting to the internet for the last few weeks and have found a few gems of spots throughout the city that I thought I would list for others without internet access or who are visiting the area. If I get the time I”ll also write a short review of each of them.

Expandable graphics

This is an amazing new technology which will allow images to dynamically be resized non uniformly without any deformation. This doesn”t just remove a line of pixles, instead it looks for seems containing the least amount of information in the image.

Microsoft’s Coffee Table

So I saw this coffee table thing from Microsoft a few weeks ago now and thought it was pretty cool. I saw the need for it in a commercial world but never really saw much need in the demonstrations for the world at home just yet. I was wrong!
